WEB DESIGN PROCESS

I always hear people say ''trust the process''     but i never fully understood until i started the process of creating this website.
This post is going to be about the process of picking a template ,editing and customising my website to my preference.
picking a template.
After spending soo much time searching for the perfect template;i almost gave up. i decided to search for 'creative' template. seeing the results were even harder because i couldn't make up my mind.

After looking through a few of them I choose the template called 'creative director'





This choice was made because I liked the page settings, the bright colors and I liked that it includes slide show.
customising my website
when something is mine,i always put my name or a mark that signifies that I'm the owner on whatever it is.
so that was the first thing I did .
As seen,This was done by clicking on the circle that has plus(+) in it:it is called 'add' and it basically means you should go there if you want to add  text,a shape,video,music and other features that you need to beautify your blog.In my case ,I needed to add a text so I went to the text sectionIclicked on big title where I wrote media 360 and then the process was repeated  and I picked small title to write Ebitimi Imomotebegha.
CHANGING THE BACKGROUND
Although i liked the background at first.i knew i had to change the background to something i thought reflects my continuation route in media.
Clicking on the section called page background.it showed a preview of images and videos that people may like.After looking through a few of them and testing them out ,they were not impressive. hence,i clicked onto images.


I chose a picture from this section . The picture connotes media and communication from a very popular angle.

The page looked like this afterwards.The bright fruit in the middle was a contrast to the
darker background therefore i removed it.The page looked too bare and not as lively so i made an attempt to brighten it by giving an introduction.
 This is a temporary design.

Reflection:
The template chosen was nice .However I would like to put pictures that were taken by me as the page background as well as add more colorful designs to website. This is just the beginning and I will make sure to add more creativity onto the websites.

Writing Class 1:How and Why I write

Welcome back to my blog, This is my first specialist class for the term and I am beyond  excited.Bettina is my new specialist tutor as I  switched from film to writing. The aim of this class was to self-assess and develop your writing skills that will make you a m=better writer .In this class ,we answered series of questions that enabled us to think deep and recognised our weak points as well as our strong points .Furthermore,we had some in class discussions that helped us to explore other factors that influences our writing as well as my fellow classmates. Reflection|Goodbye

Looking back at the work I did this term, I think that I have improved in my writing skills.I noticed that I have a problem with my punctuation which was something I never really paid attention to until this project. I also gained more understanding about my self in terms of the type of student i am.From this project, i  know that in my continuation route I would prefer to write exams than essays if i am given the choice.This is obvious due to my constant failures to update my blog regularly.Coming from a background where all the assignments given are short-term ,it was quite difficult for me adapt to the continuous updating of the blogs.This goes for my essays as well,in the first two terms the reason why i never finished my essays on time was because i was so used to writing essays during exams or over the weekend. so it was different for me.
