MODULE SELF EVALUATION : MAJOR PROJECT

In my other course, we were thought that there are four stages of learning researched by David Kolb so for this post I will be evaluating what I have learnt in this module through these stages. Experience Digital Arts Blog : At the beginning of this course I was aware of the purpose of showing processes on our digital art blog. However, I saw the true importance of this blog during the process of building my major projects.for example when I forget certain techniques and  I check my previous post. This blog thought me the importance of details and comprehension. you won't be able to properly blog or even succeed if you don't understand what you're doing.  Food Blog : This was the main aspect of my major project and I started it late because i was too scared to start. I made myself believe that it was soo difficult so it almost became normal to procrastinate. This is very ironic for me because I love food. This was a lovely experience. I realized digital bloggi

WEBSITE IS OFFICIALLY PUBLISHED|UX & UI TESTING RESPONSE

'it always seems impossible until it's done'-Nelson Mandela yes, I finally published my website. I thought I never would and I thought I was extremely behind but it happened.please check it out and make sure to complete the feedback form. This is the link: My website  and you can find the feedback under the contact section on my website. UX & UI TESTING RESPONSE  So far, my classmates have given feedback and I will include it in this post. Most of the responses I got both negative and positive were expected because there were some parts of the website that I was unsure of. I'm going to address some responses that gave honest criticism. THIS IS BASED ON THE 7 RESPONSE I HAVE GOTTEN SO FAR. CONTENT: From this pie chart, it shows that 71.4%  liked the content of my website while 28.6% like it to an extent. This is totally understandable because in a previous post I stated my target audience and it seems logical that people outside my audience scope are impres

PRE-PUBLISH:CROSSING T'S and DOTTING I'S

welcome. This is the final website update. I am going to be finishing up on my website. HOMEPAGE.  Like I stated in my previous post, my logo was changing positions and was overlaying other important aspects on different devices and this made my websites look less appealing. so I had to remove my logo from the header completely. This is how it ended up looking.  I tried to make the header look less empty and this is what I came up with. I put the menu bar on top.I preferred it with the logo however, the page looks good this way as it isn't as colourful. As you have noticed, I changed the menu bar on my website. This is mainly because the texts on the previous menu were suspiciously overlaying. another reason is that my logo is not there anymore, therefore, the header was almost empty so I decided to make the header look occupied. To insert a menu bar, select add(+), go to menu, then choose the menu bar you prefer. when this is done, the buttons will link to their corres

WEBSITE UPDATE:MOBILE TESTING

welcome, For this post i will  showing the mobile version of my wix website. Initially,i was having issues with the mobile aspect of my website. This is because my logo was too big and the page background was too wide for a normal phone screen compared to the screen of a PC. After making some changes, this is how the front page ended up looking. I was satisfied with this cover  but after testing it on other deviceS,it seemed my logo kept changing positions depending on the size of the deice the website was being viewed. so the best option for me was to delete the logo from the header.I felt really bad but it was for the best. This is how the website looks on my iphone 6s after deleting the logo and i think it looks good like this. This is the homepage and the navigation page.  I also took screenshots of how the mobile website looks on the pc. This is the rest of the pages on my mobile website that i viewed through the PC. I think it looks good. The first image fro

LUNAPIC WEBSITE: MAKING MY LOGO TRANSPARENT

WELCOME for this post, I will be showing how I made my logo transparent. After  making my first cooking video and posting it, I thought of ways I could improve the next video. while editing I realized it would be a good idea to personalize my videos by adding my logo to the videos. However, the problem with inserting the logo was an issue because the background was black which means it would illuminate a certain spot in the video. so I decided to make it transparent. I found a free picture editing website called LunaPic  and used it for such purpose. As a reminder, I will insert a picture of my original logo.  To show the process i will be using VSDC free screen recorder. MAKING LOGO TRANSPARENT The video above is well detailed and explained. For a brief explanation, go to lunapic and click browse to the choose image you want to change the background. Then you select edit and choose transparent background out of the options that appear. lastly, click on the backgroun

VideoPad Video Editor:PROCESS OF EDITING PERSONAL COOKING VIDEO

WELCOME This post is going to be very long and descriptive. I will be showing how I edited my cooking videos for my major project and I will make sure it is easy to understand by using the VSDC free screen recorder to show how I edited all my videos. I want it to be precise so I will be using a short clip from a video to show the techniques I used process. It will be harder for people to understand if I use text that is why I will be using a video to explain. Also, the video will be well detailed and longer than the accepted video on the blogger website so I will put it on my google drive and embed it to this blog. ADD A FILE: Click on add file and when the folder opens you chose the media file you want and click open. Then you drag the file to the timeline at the bottom of the page CUT OUT A CLIP Estimate the start and end time of the area you want to cut out. place the red pointer at the start of the area, once your cursor is placed on top an arrow will show. as you

MAJOR PROJECT DEVELOPMENT 1

FOOD BLOG This post will be showing how far my food blog has come and what I have done to it. Ebifame kitchen like I stated in my previous post, I researched contents for my blog and have blogged and research on the idea with references. currently, I have 7 posts and i plan to add later on.   I chose this layout because it shows a lot of pictures which I believe is very important in a food blog. Also, the page background was inspired by a food blog I found and have given a link to in my previous post on research. the page background was provided by the blog itself it is the one I preferred the most as it denoted a chopping board which connotes cutting, cooking, kitchen. I prefer bright colours but I think i was able to make a bright page with a subtle couloured background which is interesting. This is one of my post titled "NEVER BE LATE|EASY BREAKFAST FOR ANYONE" the title sounds interesting aId i made sure that this( and all of my other post) were mor

POTENTIAL CONTENT FOR MY FOOD BLOG.

For this post, I will be brainstorming on the content of my food blog. As you all know, I will be creating a food blog for my major project so I will be researching on other contents to include apart from thee meals i will be making and posting. The purpose of this is to make the blog have more meaningful contents that will evidently portray it to be a food blog While researching I came across this blog and I got inspired by this blog called  I am a food blog . On this blog, they share tips and recipes to cook at certain times and seasons and they use catchy titles, also from the page layout it is visible that it is a food blog.Additionally, this blog gives you the health benefits of the food you eat and I decided to incorporate that as well. ideas gotten: easy meals that people can cook for breakfast. health benefits of cassava (a food I will cook) I did more research and I found this blog called  Pinch of Yum . The name of the blog is interesting and I like it a lot. The
