INDOMIE: INDONESIAN NOODLES (project sample)

Most times when I cook I always take pictures to show the process and the transformation process of foods. I like to know how dishes are made, the origin and what it is made of. I think this is very important because a lot of people are not aware of what their food contains. These pictures were taken weeks ago and I am posting them because I really like Indomie and for a long time, I taught they were introduced firstly in Nigeria but it is Indonesian born.                                                                                     I boiled the noodles in the sachets to make them edible and I boiled the egg. Indomie noodles come with sachet seasonings. when the Indomie was soft enough to my preference, I added the seasonings and red pepper then mixed it all up .t...

FOOD AS AN IDEA

In this post, I will be posting the mind map of the ideas I have thought of so far for my media project.  As seen in the mind map, there are different routes I wanted to use when talking about food but I narrowed it down to African foods because it is home and more familiar and honestly more adventurous. if you read my post on sequential images, you will have learned that I'm a  food lover. yes, I'm African but I majorly eat Nigerian meals because I'm Nigerian. so for this project, out of 54 African countries, my aims is to review at least 3 different dishes. I want to use this project as an opportunity to explore more about Africa and the different meals and also share my experiences and honest opinion about the foods and the continent. Also, I want to develop my knowledge by attempting to make a dish from another African country. this will be fun and scary because it'll be my first time. I will be posting all my experiences with pictures and someti...

REVIEWING MY BLOG BUDDY'S POST

In this post,i am going to review altan's blog. she took some classes in 2018 but she resumed late 2019. therefore her only post this year is introducing me as her blog buddy. so i'll be reviewing her old posts. I like the layout of her blog and I like that her profile picture shows her being lively.  however,i noticed that some images are not loading and zoey, our tutor, made some comment about it and no changes have been made. This post is one of my favourite because it shows the importance of the mobile phone. it shows the different features of the phone and why we should appreciate it more.it is also the most detailed work in her blog. i think altan is very creative and artistic but she needs to put more time and her effort on her blog so that she can catch up

FINAL PIECE:THERE IS NO AIR WITHOUT HAIR

This is the final piece of our hair ad. REFLECTION: The process of creating this ad was a fun and learning experience. However, there were some things I wish I had done differently. Firstly, I wish I had done more research on how to use the Photoshop app.this is because none of us knew how to change the background colour so we left it as it was. Also, I wish I had participated more and done more for the ad. This is because if I had participated more I would have written more on my blog. I learned that when creating an ad you have to know your target audience.you have to use catchy phrases and taglines that will attract them. I also learned more about the Photoshop software; how to create a contact sheet.

PRE-FINAL PIECE:ADVERTISMENT

Before the final piece is created, I want to post a pre-final piece to show what the final piece will look like. we edited the two final pictures in the Photoshop app by cropping them and pasting the cropped pictures in the same the tab. then, we made sure both were the same size and side by side. next step was to add the images that we had previously edited .which you will see below.  This picture above includes our QDE products, the two selected  pictures of our model that we felt were portraying the good image of our products, our logo and our tag line. However, we need to put more appealing lines which will attract the customers and give them a reason to buy our product. this will be shown in the final piece.

LOGO FORMATION AND CREATION OF PRODUCTS

Previously, I posted a sketch of the plan in which our brand name was QDE. the initials were gotten from the first letter of our names, Qin en, David and Ebitimi respectively. Hence, to create the logo we used the type tool in the photoshop app. we used the font called Niagara Engraved. Afterwards, we cropped out the unwanted background and there you have it, As you can see the letters are pink .they kept coming out this way so we let it be after all it looks good this way. so we have made our logo, what is next it to put or logo on our brand fewer containers.    we achieved this by copying the logo we created from the tab it was finalised and pasting it in the tab of the brand-less bottle then we had to reduce it so that it could fit the bottle width. it got a little confusing down the line because the text colour was pink in the other tab but when we paste it on another tab it turned black. we had to leave it that way because it still looked good. NEXT, we had...

GETTING TO THE FUN PART:GROUP WORK ON ADVERTISMENT

Tis a reason to be jolly!   we were put in groups to make an advertisement. I was is in a group with David and Qin en. As the title says the process so far has been fun .       when it came to generating an idea, it was quite easy because we all wanted to make an ad on hair products. We wanted to do a before and after picture to emphasize the exceptional effect of using our hair product which we narrowed down to shampoo and conditioner for women. When it came to planning out the idea, Zoey gave us an A3 blank sheet to do a sketch of what we plan to do. From this plan, we realized what we needed for this advert was a female with good hair, Photoshop software, images of blank containers, a good selling line and a camera
