Arts & Design Project 1|Welcome back!

This post is a welcome back post and idea post all in one.
WELCOME TO THE SECOND TERM.
Last term was tasking and although i didn't get the score i wanted,i aim to be better.
For today's class, we were given a task to generate 20 ideas for a new project in 20 minutes. it was very tasking but I ended up finishing it...after 20 minutes of course.
In the image below, you will see all the ideas I came up with. i was a bit confused at first but towards the end my ideas became mre specifc and relevant to my moduleAlso, anywhere you see media, just substitute it for film or movie industry.

out of all of these, the idea I think the most interesting for me to try is making a short film on something that has happened in my life. I won't just focus the film on me specifically  but it will be something that has happened or happens in my life that other people can relate to.
Therefore ,my genre of interest will be a mix of horror and thriller but mainly thriller. The idea is to recreate the moment in my childhood where i got scared of the towel that was hanging on the closet door because i thought they were monsters.Although the image in my mind is similar to that ,i will try to make somthing out of it with whatever resources i have. i had to do a mini research to see what it takes dive into this idea .
THINGS TO CONSIDER FOR THIS IDEA
Characters: In order to make this video, i believe i will need just one person to be the main character(the person that gets scared) to do the whole acting and efficiently represent to genre.

Software:i think i will have to do a lot of editing therefore i will use a couple of editing softwares. firstly ,in order to make the film exciting i will need to edit a clip or picture and create the face of an actual ghost or monster that is scary enough because this will efficiently explain why the character is so scared because they are seeing scary faces in the shadow which is actually not there.I think i will do something similar to the picture below because it will be a bit easier to imitate and somebody can easily be used for such role especially because i don't need to show their face.

Camera shots and angles :i think i will make use of a lot of close up and wide shot and other needed shots . This will be a bit tasking because i will have to move alot. from what i've researched horror/thriller movies like to show the physical and emotional reactions of the character in order to heighten the danger.that is what i hope to achieve.

Audio:i will use minimal music and those i use will be fast paced, slow, and unsettling to heighten whole concept.

i will try to research more on this idea to see  how possible it is.

  1. This is a good start but these are the things you need to do - rotate your image as the majority of people prefer not to read sideways! Add research into the kind of film you are thinking of and start to critically analyse that research and how it could be developed. Looking forward to seeing more ...

INDOMIE: INDONESIAN NOODLES (project sample)

Most times when I cook I always take pictures to show the process and the transformation process of foods. I like to know how dishes are made, the origin and what it is made of. I think this is very important because a lot of people are not aware of what their food contains. These pictures were taken weeks ago and I am posting them because I really like Indomie and for a long time, I taught they were introduced firstly in Nigeria but it is Indonesian born.                                                                                     I boiled the noodles in the sachets to make them edible and I boiled the egg. Indomie noodles come with sachet seasonings. when the Indomie was soft enough to my preference, I added the seasonings and red pepper then mixed it all up .t...

Reflection|Goodbye

Looking back at the work I did this term, I think that I have improved in my writing skills.I noticed that I have a problem with my punctuation which was something I never really paid attention to until this project. I also gained more understanding about my self in terms of the type of student i am.From this project, i  know that in my continuation route I would prefer to write exams than essays if i am given the choice. This is obvious due to my constant failures to update my blog regularly.Coming from a background where all the assignments given are short-term ,it was quite difficult for me adapt to the continuous updating of the blogs. This goes for my essays as well,in the first two terms the reason why i never finished my essays on time was because i was so used to writing essays during exams or over the weekend. so it was different for me. I think if there i had to chance to re-do some aspect of this project,i will carry out primary research on asking Leicester Market Trad...
