PROJECT RESEARCH:HORROR cuts and transitioning and camera movement

TRANSITIONING AND CAMERA MOVEMENTS

For today's post i will be researching on cuts, transitioning and camera movements that i expect to use for my short horror film.i will be writing on them this post instead of making a video.

Transition:CUTS
After doing a little more research and also including the information from my specialist class,i found out there are various types of cuts in filming and i decided to list out some of them and then talk more about the ones i will be using and why.
According to Learner, Cuts is ''a visual transition created in editing in which one shot is instantaneously replaced on screen by another.''

Types of cuts

Hard cut/standard cut: This is basically cutting from CLIP X to CLIP Y. Through mu research,i found that the audience don't get enough stand

Movement

Jump cut:This shot is usually signifies  jump in time. For example coming down the stairs.

l-cut and J-cut: J cut is when clips look like a little "J" in the timeline. In this case, the audio of the next shot will start before the video. While in an L cut,  is when the video of the next shot starts before the video the audio.

Camera movement
Panning shot is when the camera lens moves from left to right or right to left
Dolly shot moves the camera toward or away from the subject while zooming in or out with the camera.
Tracking shot is when the dolly or slide is placed parallel to the action so the camera can move with the action.
Tilt is similar to a pan, but instead of turning left or right, it moves up or down

FINAL WORK ON SEQUENTIAL IMAGES

This is post is to show the final work on the sequential images I created. FINAL RESULT!! This collage was achieved using  pixlr  editor. I organised the photos in a specific order so that it can be viewed from front to back and vice versa. I am really proud of my work. however, while editing I realized I should have taken the pictures all from the same angle so they can look more identical but I couldn't redo the pictures cause I had already eaten all the grapes. INDOMIE: INDONESIAN NOODLES (project sample)

Most times when I cook I always take pictures to show the process and the transformation process of foods. I like to know how dishes are made, the origin and what it is made of. I think this is very important because a lot of people are not aware of what their food contains. These pictures were taken weeks ago and I am posting them because I really like Indomie and for a long time, I taught they were introduced firstly in Nigeria but it is Indonesian born.                                                                                     I boiled the noodles in the sachets to make them edible and I boiled the egg. Indomie noodles come with sachet seasonings. when the Indomie was soft enough to my preference, I added the seasonings and red pepper then mixed it all up .t...
