Major project plan research:GHANIAN JOLLOF RICE

If you have been reading my blog, you will know by now that my major project is African food. if you're new here, welcome! and now you know.
For this post, I will be doing some more research before I actually film a cooking video.
I went to YouTube, a video sharing website, to watch different cooking videos related to the African dish I wanted to make which is Ghanaian Jollof rice.
Nigerian jollofSOURCE
BRIEF HISTORY OF JOLLOF RICE
Jollof rice originated from Senegambia(Senegal and Gambia) region in West Africa.T he names Jollof is gotten from the Wolof people in the Wolof empire that ruled part of Senegambia. In Senegal and Gambia, the dish is called Benachin or Ceebu Jen.
This delicious and colourful dish is cooked in many countries in West Africa including my country Nigerian and Ghana.

.After watching lots of videos on how to make Ghanaian Jollof rice. there was one particular video that I really liked.I will insert the link below. This video was posted by a YouTuber called sweet Adjeley

I really liked this video because she was able to effectively show us how to make Ghanaian jollof rice without difficulty. The video is clear and her voice is audible. what I love most about this video is the editing skills as she used voice-over and didn't even have to show her face for us to understand, she also sped up the video at some parts of the process so as not to waste the time of the viewer which I think is very important because we understood what was happening throughout.she also zoomed in on the cooking process so that it will be our only focus.

For my major project, I will try to emulate this video in order for my audience to fully understand the process of the meal preparation and be able to replicate it in their kitchen. I will be doing a voice over for my video this is because i want my voice to be clear as I outline the step while the video displays it  and I will make sure to zoom in on the pot so that the audience main focus is the meal preparation and techniques.i will also be making use of speed so that that the video is short, precise and easy to understand. i will be using a professional camera so that i can produce a clear and detailed video.
i hope this goes well although it is challenging.

FINAL WORK ON SEQUENTIAL IMAGES

This is post is to show the final work on the sequential images I created. FINAL RESULT!! This collage was achieved using  pixlr  editor. I organised the photos in a specific order so that it can be viewed from front to back and vice versa. I am really proud of my work. however, while editing I realized I should have taken the pictures all from the same angle so they can look more identical but I couldn't redo the pictures cause I had already eaten all the grapes. initial Planning for Major project &

For this post, i will posting a link to my initial project plan and i will be stating how far I've gone ,what was successful and what has been difficult so far. INITIAL PLANING FOR MAJOR PROJECT So far, i have found someone who will act for me and i will be filming a sample of the horror film soon to see how achievable it is .I attempted to do a story board for my project which i though was success i think it is beneficial. i am also going to try to update my blog showing the process of everything i have done so far. after testing if this idea is achievable, i will then write a script and start the major filming. i have ordered a mask from eBay that i'll be using as a monster so hopefully everything will go as planned . Today expect something good to happen to you no matter what occurred yesterday. Realise the past no longer holds you captive. It can only continue to hurt you if you hold on to it. Let the past go. A simply abundant world awaits      ...

INDOMIE: INDONESIAN NOODLES (project sample)

Most times when I cook I always take pictures to show the process and the transformation process of foods. I like to know how dishes are made, the origin and what it is made of. I think this is very important because a lot of people are not aware of what their food contains. These pictures were taken weeks ago and I am posting them because I really like Indomie and for a long time, I taught they were introduced firstly in Nigeria but it is Indonesian born.                                                                                     I boiled the noodles in the sachets to make them edible and I boiled the egg. Indomie noodles come with sachet seasonings. when the Indomie was soft enough to my preference, I added the seasonings and red pepper then mixed it all up .t...
