For this post, i will be reviewing another blog that relates to my specialist class and project.i will be stating my opinion and observations about the blog. The name of the blog is The student film review.
This is the home page of the site. From the homepage, I could tell that it was a film blog because of the background image of a theatre and also the name of the blog.
Also when you scroll down the home page there are instructions on how to navigate around the site and where to find specific posts to make it easier for people to move around. Although this is good, this just shows that their blog is hard to navigate through because if the site was easy to navigate and well organised that won't be necessary.
This is the about page. There were a few things I observed from this page. firstly, it was made clear that it is a student blog which is quite impressive .furthermore, the blog has not been updated in months. I noticed this because their site archive is for 2015 and 2016. Also, they posted the celebration of the blog second year anniversary which was in 2017. we are presently in 2019 and it has not been updated.
GENERAL OVERVIEW
IN MY OPINION, This blog is quite engaging and from the adverts on the site you can tell that it's being monetized and from the blog stats they they show, they have over 13000 visitors on their blog .The information on this blog is based on student opinion of movies they watched and this is relevant to me to an extent because i am currently doing film for my specialised class and this would be an efficient way to know what other students think of certain movies and compare it to my thought as well.i think the writing reviews on this blog was good and fluent, however I literally skimmed through the whole blog because i haven't watched most of the movies he reviewed therefore it didn't peak my interest. I didn't like that the background was plain white and I wasn't impressed by the minimal images shown throughout. i believe having a film blog should be more of videos and pictures than writing.
conclusion
Comparing this blog to my blog, i would say this blog was more consistent in the movie review posts. By reviewing this blog i was able to realise that making videos to record and explore my work is better for ME in my project development process because i feel more comfortable talking about my work than writing. Hence forth,i think i will do more of voice recording, video recording, and story board to record and explore my project development process.

Good work and reflection on this research - particularly good work on thinking about how you can apply this research to your own work and blog.
